I use art as an outlet to talk about topics that are often hard to vocalize. From my journey of coping with mental illnesses, being a woman in a patriarchal world, and responding to philosophical ideas of human nature and feminism, I explore how art can imitate life.

My artwork is process oriented, just as life is. It is everyone’s first time on this planet, living life. I approach art like this—it is my first time with each piece I construct. The more I create, the more I can learn how to portray aspects of humanity in a way that I have never done. The conversation that I have with the materials focus on philosophical theories of what defines womanhood and human natures impact on femininity. My art develops a story through this discussion. I invite the viewer to ponder what story they see in each piece.
